The Good Neighbor Initiative
As Atlético Dallas establishes its home at the Cotton Bowl and prepares for a future office presence in Fair Park, we remain committed to being more than a professional soccer club. Through our Good Neighbor Initiative, we are investing in relationships, learning from community leaders, and finding meaningful ways to support the neighborhood we are proud to call home.
Representatives from Atlético Dallas recently participated in a South Dallas community tour to connect with organizations and leaders shaping the future of the area. Stops included the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, founded by Ferell Fellows, which provides local students and families with access to youth programming, mental health resources, nutrition support, and recreational opportunities. The tour also included visits to Vista Bank, the South Fair Park Innovation Center, Watermark South Dallas, Southside on Lamar, and Ruthie’s Café, highlighting the people and organizations driving positive change across South Dallas.
Through a volunteer outreach effort with The Human Impact, Atlético Dallas Community Relations Manager Deborah Sodipe joined Dallas Trinity FC player Maddy in serving members of the homeless community in South Dallas. Working alongside local volunteers, they distributed resources and spent time connecting with individuals experiencing homelessness. The experience reflected the shared belief that meaningful community impact begins with showing up, listening, and serving.
Garland ISD Partnership
Atlético Dallas recently attended the Garland ISD State of the District Luncheon, hosted by the Garland Chamber of Commerce. The event is an annual opportunity to celebrate the district’s accomplishments and reaffirm our commitment to students, educators, and families throughout the community. Garland ISD was recently named the 2026 H-E-B Texas District of the Year, one of the highest achievements in the country.
We are proud to partner with Garland ISD and the Garland ID Education Foundation to help build free after school soccer programs for elementary students. Seven schools received grants this past year and the 2027 grant cycle is opening up soon. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities that connect young people to the game, support educational excellence, and strengthen community ties across North Texas.
Celebrating Inclusion with the North Texas Disability Chamber
Members of the Atlético Dallas team recently joined the North Texas Disability Chamber in celebrating five years of impact and advocacy across the region.
As a proud partner, we were honored to recognize the Chamber’s work in creating opportunities, advancing inclusion, and supporting individuals, families, and businesses throughout North Texas. We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together to help ensure that soccer remains welcoming and accessible to everyone.
This milestone served as a reminder that strong communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and belong.
