Atlético Dallas believes that a soccer club’s impact isn’t measured only in goals — it’s measured in the communities it builds. From cultural celebrations to classroom kickoffs, here’s a look at how the club has shown up for North Texas this spring.
Celebrating Día del Niño at the Latino Cultural Center
On April 25, Atlético Dallas joined families from across the city at the Latino Cultural Center for Día del Niño, a joyful celebration of children, culture, and community. The club’s street team ran interactive soccer activities where kids could win prizes, build new skills, and learn about Dallas’s newest premier soccer club. The energy was electric — and the message was clear: Atlético Dallas is for everyone. The event reinforced the club’s deep commitment to growing the sport within Dallas’s vibrant Latino community, one family at a time.
Giving Back on Can-Do Spirit Day
On May 7, Atlético Dallas joined Visit Dallas and community partners for Can-Do Spirit Day, a citywide day of volunteerism and civic pride. Club staff and supporters rolled up their sleeves for hands-on service projects that made a tangible difference in the neighborhoods around them. Atlético Dallas showed that its commitment to this city goes well beyond the pitch — through service, the club continues to demonstrate the unifying power of soccer and a shared responsibility to the communities that make Dallas great.
Garland ISD Grant Schools Take the Field
Earlier this year, Atlético Dallas awarded grants to seven Garland ISD elementary schools through the Garland ISD Education Foundation to build after-school soccer programs. This spring, those programs came to life in a big way.
In May, Lister Elementary hosted South Gate Elementary for a spirited matchup featuring third graders and a combined fourth and fifth grade team — with parents packed along the sidelines to cheer every run and goal. The following week, Caldwell Elementary welcomed Freeman Elementary for another lively match that drew nearly 300 spectators, complete with PTA concessions, a Kona Ice snow cone truck, and free swag from Atlético Dallas.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. All grant schools are already looking ahead to a fall tournament designed to generate buzz among other schools interested in applying to the program. Atlético Dallas has committed $25,000 per year for three years to the initiative — an investment in the next generation of North Texas soccer players.
